- How does the Paylist Xero integration work?
- You authorise Paylist to connect to your Xero organisation using Xero's secure OAuth sign-in. Once connected, verified supplier bank details from Paylist are kept in sync with your Xero contacts, so you never have to re-key them by hand.
- Does it update my Xero contacts automatically?
- Yes. When a supplier updates their verified bank details on Paylist, the matching contact in your connected Xero organisation is updated for you, so your records stay current.
- Can I sync employees to Xero Payroll?
- Yes — Xero is the one integration that supports employee payroll sync. Invite employees to Paylist, they securely add their own home address, bank details and National Insurance number, and you push them into your Xero Payroll (UK) employees, with later changes syncing automatically. (QuickBooks and Sage support supplier bank-detail sync only, not employee payroll.) You'll be asked to reconnect Xero once to grant payroll access.
- Is the Xero integration secure?
- Connections use Xero's official OAuth flow, so Paylist never sees your Xero password. Bank details on Paylist are encrypted with per-row keys, and you can disconnect Xero at any time from your dashboard.
- Which Paylist plan do I need for the Xero integration?
- The Xero integration is available on a paid Paylist plan. Listing your business and sharing your Paylist number is free forever. See the pricing page for full details.
- Can I disconnect Xero later?
- Yes. You can disconnect your Xero organisation at any time from the integrations area of your Paylist dashboard, and syncing stops immediately.
